Joshua and Evaline Booher

This is the wedding picture of Joshua Morrison Booher and Evaline Wharton, who were married by The Rev. D. M. Giles on March 18, 1864. He was born on April 20, 1842 to John and Jane (Duffey) Booher and died on January 31, 1911. She was born to Samuel and Betsy Anne (Heck) Wharton on October 9, 1848 and died on December 20, 1928. Both are interred in Monroe Cemetery, Cromwell Township, Huntingdon County, PA. Joshua mustered into the Civil War on February 16, 1864 as a Private in the 21st PA Cavalry Regiment, Co. I, 2nd Division, and was at Appomattox Court House during the surrender of Lee and his army. He was mustered out on July 18, 1865.
